Since you rely on your bathroom to keep your body clean, it is necessary that you should keep it clean. Due to water, steam this space can easily become prone to bacteria, fungus etc. It is necessary to clean your bathroom every week including toilets, sinks and other highly affected areas. In order to reduce the load, there are a few things you can do on a daily basis – wipe up the spills on the mirror, keep the floor dry, wipe down the toilet seat and faucet handles.

Ways to clean your bathroom tiles perfectly

In this blog let us learn about how to clean bathroom tiles with baking soda, vinegar, and more tips so that you can keep your space clean without putting too much effort.

Vinegar to clean tile

White vinegar is a natural disinfectant which works brilliantly as a tile cleaner. Mix ½ cup of distilled vinegar with warm water and fill it in a spray bottle. Spray it on the tiles and wipe it off with a damp cloth. Remember to not use it on granites and marbles.

Lime juice to clean tile

Lemon juice is acidic and thus works as a tile-cleaning agent. Fill a spray bottle with lime juice and spray the juice on the tile directly and wipe it with a damp sponge. Alternatively, you can dampen the sponge with lemon juice directly, then wipe it with a cloth dipped in warm water.

Baking soda

Baking soda is an effective cleaner especially to remove tough stains. Make a paste of 2 to 3 cups of baking soda and water and sprinkle it onto the tiles. Scrub it using an old toothbrush to remove tough stains. Then wipe it with a cloth soaked in lemon juice before rinsing with warm water.

Water and bleach

Combining water and bleach is an effective tile-cleaning solution. Mix water and bleach in a 1:3 ratio. Fill this solution in a spray bottle and spray it on the bathroom tile. Rinse the tiles with a cloth dampened with warm water.

Clean corner tiles with a cotton ball

Cleaning corner tiles with a regular brush is difficult. Soak a cotton ball with a tile cleaner of your choice and keep it in the corner where you wish to clean. After a few minutes remove the cotton ball. Wipe it with a cloth to remove the excess grime. Or you can use an old toothbrush to keep the corner clean.

Utilise ammonia

Mix water and ammonia in the ratio 1:2. Fill the spray bottle with this mixture and apply it to the bathroom tile you want to clean. Leave it for 1 hour. Then clean it with a clean, damp cloth. Ammonia exudes fumes. Ventilate the bathrooms you wish to clean by opening doors and windows. Wear rubber gloves while cleaning your bathroom as ammonia can irritate your skin.

Use a steam cleaner

A steam cleaner is a machine that uses steam to clean the tile floors. It works the same way similar to vacuum cleaners. Turn the machine on and push it along the surface here you want to clean.

Using heavy-duty tile cleaners

Mix ¾ part of chlorine bleach w little with water. Wear rubber gloves and a tough brush and apply the solution to a small area at one time. Let it sit for several minutes, then scrub and rinse with a cloth.
